Steps to Evaluate our Current Structure
In evaluating the best path forward for Lee Health and determining what would be best for the residents of Lee County, the Lee Health Board of Directors must follow certain steps as outlined by the Florida Legislature.
Significant work must be done to consider and weigh all options. This will be a thorough and lengthy discernment process of gathering facts and analyzing data to help us determine the optimal structure for Lee Health.
Each step of the process presents an opportunity for the Board to assess returning to a private nonprofit entity and whether to proceed forward or stop the process.
